When Aggies Come Home

When Aggies come home they make their deposit of clothes and shoes in the laundry room…

Then, they move into the kitchen to make sure you’ve been rattling those pots and pans for some old fashioned home cooking and lots of it…

Then, they drink gallons of iced tea and eat apple pie all day long…

Then, they load up their truck with fresh laundry and the goodies you’ve been collecting for weeks for them to take back to Aggie Land…

And,  you stand in the drive with tears in your eyes wondering when you get to see your Aggie again…

Scratch ‘n Sniff John Deere

There is nothing like the smell of freshly mowed grass and baled hay at the end of a fall day.

John Deere could sell thousands of tractors just by a post card with a small scratch ‘n sniff area labeled “Hay”.   All men are inherently attracted to the smell of the fresh clean scent and it reminds me of the hot summer coming to a close and time for fall and the crispness of winter mornings.

Green Sauce

We love our Mexican food in Texas.  Chips and salsa are like bread and butter.   Chile con queso  and  green sauce is right up there with steak.  Try this green sauce recipe and let me know what you think.

Ingredients:

Three Large Tomatoes

Large Bunch of Cilantro

16 Ounces Sour Cream

Jalapeno To Taste

Four Large Avocados

Garlic Salt

Directions:

Cover tomatoes with water in a large stock pot and boil until skin breaks.  Remove tomatoes from water and remove skins.  Place all ingredients in a food processor.  You will need an extra bowl because the amount is larger than the processor.  Just process a little at a time and stir into the extra bowl.  Taste as you go and add salt or jalapenos to your taste.
